The tasks of the Careers Office in providing educational support to students and doctoral students with disabilities

A dedicated Careers Office has been set up specifically for students and PhD students with disabilities, with the aim of helping and supporting them to participate fully in the educational process.

 

Our tasks:

  • removing barriers to accessing information and educational resources,
  • taking various measures to improve the quality of participation in the educational process of students and doctoral students with disabilities,
  • providing, as far as possible, access to appropriate equipment for students and doctoral students with disabilities,
  • organising courses to support and improve the qualifications of students and doctoral candidates with disabilities in the area of educational and professional development,
  • providing students and doctoral students with disabilities with psychological assistance and, as far as possible, support in the form of specialist consultations appropriate to the degree and type of disability,
  • providing support to administrative and teaching staff working with students and doctoral students with disabilities,
  • bringing disability issues closer to the University's academic community by organising workshops, training courses and conferences,
  • actions to integrate students and doctoral students with disabilities into the academic community by organising various meetings, events, trips, etc,
  • promoting the University as an institution friendly to people with disabilities, in particular among potential candidates for studies (e.g. by informing them about the possibilities and conditions of studying at the University for people with disabilities),
  • Efforts to raise funds for activities supporting students and doctoral students with disabilities,
  • cooperating with student and doctoral student self-governments and organisations, as well as external organisations with a similar profile, with regard to activities for students and doctoral students with disabilities.
