Welcome Center

The Welcome Center provides ongoing, comprehensive support for international students.
It offers administrative, informational, and integration assistance to students arriving from abroad at the University.
The Center promotes internationalization by fostering positive relationships between students and staff, and encouraging exchanges about multicultural academic life.

These efforts help international students adapt to the new country and education system, while enriching the university community with intercultural openness.

Buddy Program

The Buddy Program connects new international students with ULS students who become their "buddies" – a guide and friend for one or more international students. The goal is to help these students feel at home and support them in their transition to university life. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for cultural and linguistic exchange, benefiting everyone involved!

About the International Opportunities programs

The Welcome Center and Buddy Program were established as a result of the project entitled “Improving the quality of services for international students through the development potential of DSW,” co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, for which the DSW University of Lower SIlesia received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Its continuation was made possible thanks to funding from the project “Strengthening the internationalization of students and education,” financed under the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange programme – Welcome to Poland (2022).
