 The University of Lower Silesia DSW is one of the most important academic centers in Wrocław and the entire Lower Silesia region. Every year we educate over 8,000 students.

Since commencing the University, our faculty have been implementing a visionary plan to create a free and democratic school. PRE-REQUISITS OF THE PARTICIPATION

It may take the form of training events or job shadowing.

 

The sending and receiving organisations, must have agreed in advance on the program of the activities to be delivered by the visiting teachers (teaching program) prior to the start of the mobility period. These agreements define the target teaching outcomes for the teaching period abroad, specify the formal recognition provisions and list the rights and obligations of each party.

 

DURATION OF THE MOBILITY for Teaching

The duration of the mobility is from 2 days to 5 days, excluding travel time. In all cases, a teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any shorter period of stay).

The teaching mobility must be carried out between February 19 and June 15 , 2024 .

 

DURATION OF THE MOBILITY for Training 

The minimum duration is 2 working days and  a maximum of 5 days. The staff training mobility must be carried out between  January 15 and June 31, 2024.

SEMESTER DURATION of 2023/24

  • The 2nd (spring) semester lasts from 16 th of February till 14th of July.

Days off: 

  • Easter break: 27th March 2024 - 2ed April 2024
  • Exams : od 19th June 2024 -  02ed July 2024
  • other days off : 02ed May 2024 ; 31st May 2024 

 

SEMESTER DURATION of 2024/25

  • The 1st (fall) semester lasts from 1 st October till  mid-February 
  • The 2nd (spring) semester lasts from the end of February till mid-July.

A city brimming with tradition The city has a unique atmosphere conducive to international and intercultural projects and events. During the year, many recurring events take place, such as the Day of Kindness, Jazz on the Oder, Actor’s Song Review, the Night of Museums, Shanties in Wrocław, the Festival of Amateur and Independent Cinema KAN, Wratislavia Cantans, Guinness Guitar Weekend, Brave Festival, International Street Artists’ Festival, and the New Horizons International Film Festival. Naturally, the list of cultural and entertainment events also includes Juwenalia organized by almost all universities in the city. What’s more, the city of Wroclaw is the organizer of numerous sports events and occasions, as well as a place very friendly to athletes – modern facilities, bike paths, bike and water equipment rentals, as well as outdoor gyms, are elements that make a living here simply a pleasure.

  3. Receive an Invitation under a dissused period 
  4. Confirm your mobility consent
  5. Tighten the schedule of the mobility 
  6. Share your Staff Mobility Agreement for signing 
  7. Let us know about your arrival time
